Threaded Rod
Stainless UK produce stainless steel threaded rod. Also referred to as stud, studding, all-thread or threaded bar.
Threaded rod is produced using the thread rolling process. This ensures a smooth form and enhances tensile strength.
Sizes up to M76 double end or fully threaded available.
BENEFITS
- High strength thread rolled stainless steel bars
- M10 to M76 Double end or fully threaded
- Superior ductility for seismic activity
- Large stocks
- Unique corrosive resistant product
- Full strength nuts, couplers, accessories available
APPLICATIONS
- Rock bolts
- Soil nails
- Bridge strengthening
- Building and bridge cross ties
- Ground anchors
- Holding down bolts
STAINLESS STEEL METRIC
- Grade A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel
- Strength grade class 50, 70, 80 and 100
- Mechanical properties to BS EN 3506
- Thread tolerances to BS 3643 6G
- ASTM A193 grades B8, B8M and B8T available
- 45º chisel point ends available to order
- Machine capacity up to M76
It is important to clearly specify both the grade of material and strength class when ordering.
For threaded bars, the specification should include the finish on the smooth portion, e.g as rolled, or class of polish.
For single or double-ended threaded bars the specification should include bar length and end thread lengths
Stainless steel metric studding can be supplied with a range of accessories which can be manufactured to meet individual contract requirements.

NUTS AND COUPLERS
Load nuts and couplers have been designed to provide a strength of anchorage equal to the theoretical minimum required by the threaded bar. Lock nuts are for locking purposes only.
PATTRESS PLATES
Available in ductile iron or fabricated to customers specific requirements.
TURNBUCKLE
To be used for adjusting the tension or length of a bar system.
LANTERN SPACERS
Centralisation of single bar within a bore hole enables an even flow of grout around the bar.
THREADED ENDS
Single or double threaded ends are available from M10 to M52.
PLATE WASHERS
Manufactured either flat or dished to suit misalignment of the bar tendon. Can be supplied with a hemesperical washer to suit.
REDUCER CONNECTOR
Allows a small diameter bar to be used with a larger pattress or washer plate.
EYE NUT
To be fitted to the end of the bar for passing rock netting wire through and many other uses.
